Hello! I’m Chelsay, the founder of Fleurish&Press. I’m chuffed that you’ve popped into the shop to have a look around - thank you for being here! F&P embodies the essence of what I cherish most in life: nature's design, love and connection, mindfulness and gratitude, treasured memories with loved ones, and the beauty of flowers. I am simply in awe of flowers—their intricacy, shape, and color. My fascination with flowers began during daily walks and weekend hikes, where I collected and stuffed bits of nature into books.
As my collection grew, so did my passion, especially when I started coordinating weddings and fell absolutely in love with wedding florals. Then during an Eagles game one afternoon, spitballing ideas back & forth with family,
Fleurish&Press was born.
Fleurish, is a fusion of the French word for flower and the concept of flourishing, demonstrating the notion of healthy and vigorous growth despite challenge and adversity.
“Tell me, what is it you plan to do with your one wild & precious life?”
Willa Cather's words, "There are some things you learn best in the calm, and others in storm," deeply resonate with me, particularly after overcoming a tough time in my life. During this time I found solace in the delicate art of pressing flowers, discovering the juxtaposition of flowers delicacy and resilience, their fragile petals withstanding the elements with graceful strength. Similarly, it is truly remarkable to me that our brain and nervous system have the ability to rewire itself and change in response to experience.
When I am not pressing flowers, you will likely find me spending time in nature, paddle boarding, practising Yoga, or chilling with my cat Leon. I have a deep appreciation for music and tea, have travelled to 26 countries & will never pass on the opportunity to get tacos.
